A Facility Master Plan was initiated that allows for a future replacement hospital and clinics for the University. The first phase was the construction of the new Ambulatory Care Center. The master plan for the Ambulatory Care Center includes future expansion to the east to double the current footprint size, and the building has the structural capacity to add an additional two floors. The first phase of this program consisted of 11 outpatient clinics with 80 exams; minor surgery and Cysto suites, a sound lab suite, out-patient pharmacy, x-ray, laboratory, business offices and education areas. The building is connected to the existing parking garage with an underground tunnel and covered walkway.
